Taishakuten killed guardian of heaven - war god Ashura-ou - and took Tentei's head thus becoming the new ruler of heaven. Throne of heaven was not Taishakutens true goal. Everything went according to Ashura-ou's wish. Ashura-ou feared that his future heir was to become the Real Ashura - god of destruction, who would destroy the heaven. Even if that was the fate, Ashura wished that his heir would be born. Ashura sought help of Taishakuten who approved because he loved Ashura-ou. Taishakuten promised that he would change this fate, and if it was not possible he would kill Ashura's heir. For this he needed the throne of heaven and the strenght of Ashura-ou (by eating his body). Taishakuten ruled with an iron fist, and many clans felt its strong strike: Ashura-clan was first but Souma soon followed. Both were completely obliterated save for two lone successors. But even Taishakuten's power was not enough to stop resurrection of the real Ashura and Taishakuten tried to kill him. Even so final choise was not Taishakuten's but Ashura's. To Taishakuten this meant fulfillment of his promise to Ashura-ou and years later he died smiling. [[Sorry about the melodrama in this... I didn't find any other way to write it.]] Personality: Taishakuten is calm in almost every situation but is determined to tear down heaven and stars to get his wish and keep his promise. wearing his all-knowing smile he orders the deaths of thousands. This makes people hate his bloody arse. He doesn't care much about lives of people and is ready to kill entire clans for his purposes, but he is never random about his actions. Anyone he kills is killed for reason. Mostly reasons are connected to his promise. Taishakuten truly loved Ashura-ou, but he was forced to kill him during the Heavenly war, because of their promise. Taishakuten said he gained Ashura-ou's body for himself, but truly being in the world without Ashura was really painful for him. This is why he also feels compassion to those who too have lost their loved ones. He was still determined to fulfill his promise to Ashura and thus he stays and works for that... | |||||||||
